100% of your donation goes directly to the care of our cats.
Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue (SCSCR) has a mission to rescue and rehabilitate special-needs cats, provide free and low-cost spay/neuter services to the local community, and assist people who need help keeping their pets during difficult life situations.
Any small donation can help toward getting a cat's teeth cleaned, a kitten vaccinated, or antibiotics for a sick cat. If you think our work is important, please consider supporting us through a one-time donation, or become a monthly sponsor.
In addition to the veterinary care and antibiotics needed to treat medical problems, some cats require a special diet. Cats with UTI's need moist (canned) food for the extra liquid and nutrition. Also, some of our rescue cats have had to have all of their teeth removed due to age and extreme infection. Because of this they cannot eat dry food.
We strive to keep the environment for the cats as clean as possible. This includes doing several loads of laundry a day, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing litter boxes and food and water bowls. To protect the health of the animals, we purchase disinfectant that has been clinically proven to kill feline viruses, bacteria, and fungi.
